Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance

Goalsverse (goalsverse.com) is a fan-made community stats and clips platform for the video game GOALS. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Goalsverse. These terms sit alongside our Integrity Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

Some features — leaving reputation, uploading clips, entering giveaways — require you to sign in with Discord and link a GOALS club as your “My Club”.

  • Only claim a club you actually play. Claiming someone else’s club is impersonation.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • One person, one account. Alternate accounts used to inflate reputation, votes, or giveaway entries will be removed.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

3. Reputation policy

Reputation is there to tell other players what a club is like to play against. It is attached to a real person’s club, so we hold it to a higher standard than the rest of the site.

Reputation you leave must describe a genuine, first-hand experience of playing that club. The following are not allowed in a reputation comment:

  • Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other hate directed at people for who they are
  • Slurs and hateful language, including attempts to disguise them with spelling or symbols
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
  • Doxxing — real names, addresses, workplaces, or any other personal information
  • Impersonating another player, or pretending to be a moderator or Goalsverse staff
  • Sexual or graphic content
  • Advertising, self-promotion, referral links, or spam
  • Revenge ratings — leaving a bad rep as payback for one you received, rather than as an account of how the match actually went

Criticism is fine. “Time-wasted the whole second half” is a legitimate thing to write. The line is between describing how someone played and attacking who they are.

Acceptable negative reputation

“Time-wasted from the 60th minute, went down injured twice on a two-goal lead, then quit before full time. Wouldn’t play them again.”

Harsh, and completely fine. Every word of it is about what happened in the match.

Forbidden negative reputation

“Garbage human being and a [slur] on top of it — they’re all like that where he’s from.”

Not one word of this is about the match. It goes after who he is and where he’s from instead of anything he did on the pitch.

What happens if you break these rules. We remove the reputation entry. A removed entry stays visible on the club’s page as a note saying it was removed, but its text is deleted and it no longer counts towards that club’s good or bad score. It cannot be edited or re-posted. Repeated breaches cost you the ability to leave reputation, and in serious cases your access to the site.

4. Clips and other user content

Clips, club bios, generated cards, and anything else you submit are covered by our Integrity Policy, which sets out what is prohibited and how we moderate it. You keep ownership of what you upload, and you grant us permission to host and display it on Goalsverse. Only upload content you have the right to share.

5. Fair use of the site

Goalsverse is run by a small team and paid for out of pocket. Please do not:

  • Scrape, bulk-download, or automate requests against the site or its APIs
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or admin-only areas
  • Manipulate leaderboards, reputation, votes, or giveaway entries
  • Resell or re-host our data as if it were your own

Stats on Goalsverse are provided as-is. We do our best to keep them accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it, and the site may change or go down without notice.

6. Not affiliated with GOALS

Goalsverse is an independent, fan-made project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the developers of GOALS. Game names, logos, and assets belong to their respective owners.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server, which is also the place to reach us with questions, appeals, or reports.
