This cocky Spanish central defender is a physical phenomenon with a tireless engine, even if he is occasionally caught out by clever passes. Before every match, he insists on rubbing his boots with a scented garlic clove to "ward off insecurity," much to the annoyance and smelly bewilderment of his teammates. Despite the stench, his strength and speed are nearly irresistible on the pitch.
