This reserved Costa Rican attacking midfielder shreds defenses with stunning acceleration, although his poor off-the-ball awareness sometimes makes him look like he is running nowhere. It is said he perfected his agility by escaping mischievous monkeys in the forests of San José while protecting his snack. His finishing instinct in front of the goal is lethal, even when his first touch occasionally abandons him under pressure.
