This Belgian colossus erases his opponents with uncanny ease, capable of leaping to great heights yet strangely vulnerable in the air despite his immense vertical reach. His humble nature was illustrated when, as a teenager, he performed such a perfectly timed slide tackle to recover his stolen bike that he stopped the thief dead in his tracks. While heading is not his forte, his blistering pace and defensive IQ make him an unyielding brick wall on the pitch.
