Carmenza Benavides

After overcoming a paralyzing fear of flying by enduring thousand-mile bus rides just to reach training, this Colombian center-back forged a relentless work ethic and masterclass defensive IQ. On the pitch, she is an immovable, humble force who reads the game with surgical precision, effortlessly neutralizing opponents even if her sluggish acceleration forces her to rely entirely on tactical genius. She compensates for her lack of top-end sprint speed with unmatched jockeying and physical grit, proving that her grit on the field is matched only by her resilience off it.
