General
A general gaming term. Used in GOALS, but not specific to it.
A regular lofted ball, played from anywhere on the pitch with Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox. Not the lofted through pass, which is a different pass entirely.
The normal shot, played with Circle on PlayStation, B on Xbox. Not to be confused with the Goblin Shot / Loaded Shot.
Random number generation — the luck in an outcome rather than the skill. In GOALS it usually means pack luck: which cards you pull, and what potential range they come with.
A criticism of the meta, not a compliment: the claim that you have to spin to win a game.
Turning back and forth with the ball while making slow progress upfield, so a defender never gets a clean angle to tackle from.
Winning the ball with a tackle and immediately losing it again. You get possession, but before you can control it or pass, the player you took it from tackles you back.
