Luís Mariano

This Portuguese fullback is a physical force who combines explosive speed with an intimidating aggression, even if his tactical awareness sometimes lets him down. He insists on tucking a fresh orange slice into his left sock before kickoff, a quirky superstition that his teammates view with a mix of bemusement and reverence. His aerial dominance and ruthless tackling make him an invaluable defensive anchor.
