Mariëlle Somers

This Dutch attacking midfielder is a whirlwind of balance and lethal speed, though she occasionally struggles with ball control at full sprint. Before every match, she chews exactly seven pieces of black licorice to find her focus, a bizarre ritual her teammates view with amused bewilderment. Despite her humble demeanor, her sharp vision and clinical finishing make her an unstoppable force on the pitch.
