This English center-back is an imposing aerial wall with masterclass defensive intelligence and explosive pace, although his slide tackles occasionally lack the same precision. Before every match, he insists on aligning his shin guards in perfect symmetry with the grass blades, a bizarre ritual that leaves his teammates both amused and baffled. His assertive nature makes him the undisputed, immovable anchor of his backline.
