Takehisa Tsunoda

After overcoming a childhood without shoes by training in the snow, this stoic Japanese centre-back turned his pain into an implacable defensive wall. With surgical precision in slide tackles and blocks, he dominates the air and ground despite his limited top speed. His extreme aggression is balanced by a calm temperament that makes him an impossible opponent to force past.
