Detlev Rühl

After overcoming the trauma of being rejected by every academy for being 'too friendly,' this German center-back turned that heartbreak into relentless drive. Boasting elite acceleration and a dominant aerial presence, he reads the game with brilliant defensive intelligence, even if his slide tackles can occasionally be a bit reckless. He is an unshakable wall whose gentle heart off the pitch is only matched by his ferocious intensity on it.
