Nancy Asante

Towering over attackers with an ego as immense as her vertical leap, this Ghanaian force recovers from a childhood of wrestling wild ostriches to dismantle opponents with ruthless, cocky precision. While her stamina often deserts her in the final minutes, her instinctual interceptions and bone-crushing tackles make her the undisputed queen of the backline. She treats every defensive masterclass like a victory lap, knowing perfectly well that she is the best defender on the grass.
