Vanessa Palacio

Standing tall, this Panamanian keeper commands her area with cat-like reflexes and an explosive leaping ability that makes her a nightmare for opposing strikers. After recovering from a bizarre, career-threatening forearm injury involving a garden shed mishap, she harnessed that trauma to fuel an assertive, fearless approach to shot-stopping. While her parrying technique can be occasionally erratic, her chilling composure during penalties makes her a true titan between the posts.
