Mandisa Kunene

Standing as an impenetrable South African fortress, this humble center-back uses her blistering acceleration and surgically precise slide tackles to silence any forward daring to approach. Once, she famously tracked a sprinting thief across four neighborhood blocks after practice just to recover a lost ball, leaving him dazed in the dust. While her sheer physical dominance is undeniable, her notorious lack of composure when facing a penalty kick often sees her prefer sprinting the length of the pitch to defend rather than taking the shot.
