Cindy Matthijs

This imposing Belgian wingback dominates the flank with a rare combination of raw strength and explosive speed that leaves opponents breathless. Although her interceptions can be somewhat messy at times, she still recalls the time as a child she won a bet by dominating an aerial duel against a group of local boys, jumping so high she nearly headed the crossbar. Her natural humility leads her to prefer doing the dirty work on the pitch rather than chasing the spotlight.
